Stirling, ON, native Dustin Bird has built his road into the Canadian country music scene with hard work, great appearances, and solid songs. We first saw Dustin at the Boots & Hearts festival in 2018, when he earned his spot as a finalist in the Emerging Artist Showcase competition. It was a fantastic introduction to the young artist and one that put him on a lot of fans’ radars moving forward. Since then, Dustin Bird has released four singles: She Likes My Guitar, Wake Up, People, and his most recent release, Unscripted. Wake Up leads the way for Bird, piling up more than 125,000 Spotify streams. It’s a breakout achievement for the emerging artist and should be acknowledged and celebrated. Artist of the Month: Mackenzie Leigh Meyer

Hamilton, ON, native Mackenzie Leigh Meyer is motivated to succeed in Canadian country music – propelled by hard work, talent and a desire to do more. Mackenzie’s debut EP was released in mid-2018 and the title Dive Bar Diva has become somewhat of an identifier for the Ontario artist; so much so that it is her handle on both Twitter and Instagram. The four-song EP was a great introduction to country fans, and she hasn’t slowed down a bit since the release. A quick look at Meyer’s tour schedule and social media posts show that she is always working. She’s either on stage, writing, or working on new music to release in the (hopefully near) future. She’s a busy woman. In 2019, Mackenzie had some […]

Alli Walker made Toronto her home when she was 19 years old and ready to chase her dream. And now, she’s starting to see more and more evidence of that dream coming true. None of this happened overnight, of course. Like so many artists before her, Alli’s career is already hundreds of shows and songs deep, as she has worked to hone her craft and find her voice as an artist.
