A lot of people look forward to the summer months for many reasons, but in 2019 David Boyd Janes has his own reasons… and they’re big ones!
The emerging country artist from big-city Toronto has a lot on the go this summer, with a busy tour schedule, new opportunities, and a chance to grow into a new stage of his career – highlighted by the Boothill Jamboree, Canadian National Exhibition’s Northern Comfort Saloon, the Havelock Jamboree, and the Boots & Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase. Those venues alone will put David in front of thousands of country fans.
But before he gets to those stages, he has some celebrating to do. In Cobourg, ON at the Country Wild Music Festival, David Boyd Janes was named the winner of the Emerging Artist Showcase. The grand prize gives him a chance go down to Nashville and have a song recorded, mixed, and mastered by Grammy-winner Jamie Tate (Thomas Rhett, Taylor Swift, Brooks & Dunn, and more). It’s a HUGE opportunity and something that he should be both proud of and excited about.
All of this comes to follow David’s debut EP Thoughts Become Things, with singles, Summertime Feeling and I Ain’t Sticking Around both making their way to radio and earning plays across Canada. And his 2019 single, Whiskey Won’t, has racked up more than 90,000 plays on Spotify and YouTube. Those songs have started David Boyd Janes’ career in country music, and there’s more to come.
With a smooth voice that allows him to go uptempo or slow things down, David has the tools to make his mark on the country music scene in Ontario and the rest of Canada.
David Boyd Janes has put in the work to get things started, and now he’s poised to take advantage of some big stages and chances in the summer of 2019!
