From his hometown of North Bay, Ontario, Cory made the effortless transition to country rock with the breakout track “Outlaws and Outsiders”. The song features legendary artists Mick Mars (Motley Crue), Travis Tritt and Ivan Moody (Five Finger Death Punch). In 2019, Billboard deemed the top 10 Rock Radio single “Outlaws and Outsiders” the “hit that couldn’t be confined”.
A man of many talents, not only does Cory create foot-stomping music, he recently made his acting debut as a bartender in the successful horror-thriller film The Retaliators (2021). The film’s soundtrack also features two of Cory’s songs, “Burn It Up” and “Blame It On The Double”. Just in time for Halloween, this past week marks the North American VOD release of The Retaliators, with the film available now everywhere you rent or buy movies, including iTunes, Amazon, Vudu, Comcast and Verizon.
Now, with over 140 million global streams and a top 10 Rock Radio hit under his belt, Canada’s breakout country rock artist is set to release his new EP I Rise on November 11 via Better Noise Music and all streaming platforms.
I Rise was inspired by the time Cory spent in training to complete his pilot’s license and the determination, patience and drive it takes to achieve such a goal. With powerful, anthemic tracks like “Burn It Up”, which has already eclipsed 100K streams, and the uplifting positivity on “Hold On”, there is something on the EP for every rock lover.

Michelle Wright releases a brand-new music video for “Heartbreak Song,” the second single release from her latest studio project, Milestone, on BFD/Audium Nashville. “My co-writer Adam Wakefield was in my band a few years back, and I was always a fan of his talent. I was thrilled to see him do so well on The Voice, and I enjoyed watching his success, both as a solo artist and with his band Texas Hill. We talked several times over the years about writing together, and I am so glad we finally made it happen. We needed one more song for this record, and I knew this was the one as soon as we finished it,” says Wright.

Steve Rivers released his new single “Winterizing” on 10/14.
“In the Northern lake town where I live there’s this weird feeling at the end of summer when everything starts shutting down and the town begins shifting into winter mode. There’s a brief transition period where you get to immerse yourself in the beauty of autumn, but that window is short, and depending on how far North you are, that period can be over quick. It’s easy to assume that nothing happens up here during the long winter months and forget that life still goes on.”
The new single was co-written and produced by Steve Rivers and is available on all streaming platforms.

Joan Spalding, known to many as the ‘First Lady of Bluewater Country’, is celebrating the 50-year milestone of her remarkable music career.
Growing up on the family homestead in Mooretown, Joan was born to perform. “As a child I watched my aunts, uncles, and dad play music,” she said. “I learned how to play rhythm guitar at the young age of 11 and had already been playing piano years before that.” The self-taught singer-songwriter also plays double-reed harmonica, banjo and mandolin.
Spalding became a fixture in hundreds of homes during the COVID-19 pandemic, performing via Facebook Live from her home in Plympton-Wyoming, every day for more than two years, in an effort to provide the joy of music during trying times. She was recently bestowed with the Rotary Club of Sarnia’s highest honour: the Paul Harris Fellowship Award!
Over the decades, Spalding has given her time at nursing and long-term care homes, played countless shows, fairs and dances across the province — including Purple Hill Country Hall in Thorndale, Ontario.

Since the release of their 2021 single “Finish Line,” Hamilton, Ontario’s The Redhill Valleys have been tearing up the international Americana scene. They further displayed that earlier in 2022 with the release of Travel Well, Pt. 1, which included “Finish Line,” its follow-up single “Anymore,” and four more tracks that fully captured the explosive fusion of rock and country that has built The Redhill Valleys’ stellar reputation both on stage and in the studio.
Travel Well, Pt. 2 has now arrived, containing six more tracks—five originals including the first single “Old Country Song,” that give nods to the classic Nashville sound of the early ‘60s, the raw rootsiness of The Band, and the timeless melodicism of the Traveling Wilburys. Topping it off is a studio version of one of their live staples, Lucinda Williams’ “I Lost It,” sung passionately as always by bassist Chelsea McWilliams.
