I’m here to have a damn good time, how ’bout it are you with me?!
Scott’s desire to entertain and contribute to a good time is the driving force behind an upbeat and energetic live show. If he is on a stage it is because he is there for YOU.
His sound reflects the profound influence of the 90’s country era that shaped his upbringing, but he likes his country rockin’ too. Often drawing comparisons to Jason Aldean and Eric Church has not been surprising, given they are two of his biggest modern influences. Playing both covers and his own original compositions, Scott is all about crafting a musical experience that resonates with an audience.
Growing up on a small farm in Joyceville, Scott enjoyed singing along to his favourite songs like anyone else, but didn’t pick up the guitar until the tail end of high school. He continued to play and learn as a hobby whilst attending the University of Ottawa, and subsequently completing his Chartered Professional Accountant designation. He turned the corner and embarked on a more serious musical path after a few open mic nights at the Brass Pub landed him a Saturday night residency that he continues to play today (seven years later, now on Sunday nights post pandemic). He continues to balance work as a CPA with his musical journey.
Scott released his first self titled EP in 2019, and has numerous singles since. In 2021 he opened for The Abrams at the Stomp’N Stampede at the Rose Theatre Brampton and headlined a night at the Tweed Stampede and Jamboree in both 2021 & 2022, before opening for Brett Kissel in 2023. 2023 saw two singles released (and his first music video), leading up to his second EP “Bars & Barstools” releasing this year.
In Scott Owen, you’ll find a humble artist whose genuine passion for music and unwavering commitment to his audience combine to create unforgettable experiences.
