Cold Creek County on Tour with Old Dominion

Cold Creek County is hitting the road in 2018, opening for Old Dominion, alongside The Washboard Union, for the Canadian leg of their Happy Endings World Tour.

Tour kicks off February 1 in Regina, Saskatchewan and tickets are on sale now.

Check out www.coldcreekcounty.com for details on tour dates and more.

Fresh off the success of their lead single “Homemade” from the EP of the same name, Cold Creek County is readying their new single “This Town Is You” for radio.

“This Town is You” reflects on the one that got away. “It’s the story of a guy who was in love with somebody in a specific little town,” says Cold Creek’s Doug Oliver. “The guy has moved on but every time he comes back through that little town he’s constantly reminded of that time he’s spent with that person that he loves.”

Friday Live inside Studio 89!

Country artists are given the opportunity to showcase their talent live on Country 89!   Friday mornings  artists give an acoustic performance and let our listeners know where they are playing, what they are up to, and have some fun in the process!

Tim Hicks, Nice Horse and local artist Brad Battle are just some of the artists who’ve been through Studio 89!

We also open our studio for Country artists who aren’t from Niagara to showcase their talents.  It’s our love of local talent and country music that has given way for Friday Live on Country 89!

Dani Strong Looks After “Family”

The surname says it all… Strong… passionate… a firm believer in what she does, and with whom and for whom she does it. Dani Strong has been called a country music artist with a magnificent stage presence, one who ropes you into her performance and makes you part of the story she’s telling.

But first, she says, there has to be the story to tell.

“I’m a songwriter first,” Dani tells BarrieToday, a week and change before she and her band play the KICX-FM Radio for Cardiology concert, “and to me, a songwriter is a storyteller… and country music takes pride in its storytelling.”
