SHAE DUPUY Wins the 2017 Canadian Songwriting Competition – Country Category for Her Song “Wishing On You” Recently Released on Her BRAVE EP

April was a busy month; Shae and her team kicked off the Social Media Event “STRONG IS BEAUTIFUL” Campaign promoting all kinds of Positivity in mind, body and soul, and inspiring everyone to just BE U. “We’re not only Artist, people want to connect with us, get to know us outside of music, who we are and what we stand for.” In one month the Campaign attracted over 1000 followers on Instagram @STRONGIS_BEAUTIFUL, thousands of pictures shared and tagging #STRONGISBEAUTIFUL and joining the movement. It was so positive and successful, Shae has decided to keep the movement going year round, “We learned a lot from this campaign!”
Shae celebrated Canadian Music Week, with an intimate interview, “Closer To The Mic” with Sirius XM Host Todd Shapiro. Todd asked a lot of out of the normal questions, you can view the interview on Shae’s YouTube Channel.
Summer is just ahead with performances lined up, starting with Cider Fest June 23 and opening the Boot Hill Jamboree Festival August 4th, make sure to check out her newly designed website for exciting details.

2016 International Songwriting Competition Boasts the Most Songs Written by Canadians (47) in Any Year Since Its Inception in 2002
Congratulations to the following artists from Ontario who received Honourable Mentions in the 2016 International Songwriting Competition (ISC):
“Dead Man’s Shoes” – Brock Zeman (Lanark, ON) – Americana
“Home Is Home” – Jacqui Verellen, Jeff Pardo / Jacqui V (Chatham, ON) – Country
“Workin’ On Whiskey” – Jessica Mitchell, Patricia Conroy, David Thomson (London, ON) – Country
For the first time in the history of the competition, the Grand Prize was awarded to Canadian songwriters – Winnipeg troubador Matt Epp and Morocco-born Manitoba-raised 16-year old phenom Faouzia for their co-written song “The Sound Ft. Faouzia.” The Grand Prize winners took home $25,000 in cash (USD) and over $45,000 in additional prizes.
