The Reklaws Announce First Headlining Tour

Award-winning country duo The Reklaws has announced their first headlining tour, Winter’s A Beach. Beginning in London, ON, on Feb. 25, it features eight dates in Ontario and Quebec, and features Jade Eagleson and East Adelaide as support acts. Tix on sale today (Dec. 7). It has been a big year for the sibling duo. The Reklaws won the SiriusXM Rising Star at the CCMAs, and their single “Long Live The Night” achieved Gold certification and was selected as the theme song for Thursday Night Football on TSN.

ole Signs Singer-Songwriter Eric Ethridge to Worldwide Recording and Publishing Deal

ole, the world’s premier independent music publishing and rights management company, is pleased to announce that it has concluded a worldwide 360 deal to sign singer-songwriter, Eric Ethridge, to its red dot label. The deal includes exclusive publishing and recording rights, administration of all properties on YouTube, and includes the acquisition of Ethridge’s self-titled debut EP which debuted at #1 on the iTunes Country charts and was streamed over 3 million times in the first 6 weeks of its release.

“Eric is an incredibly talented singer-songwriter and we are very excited to have him on our label,” commented ole’s CEO, Helen Murphy.

“After a lot of years of hard work, I could not be more excited and grateful to be the newest artist to join the ole family. I’m honoured to work with a group of such highly regarded people to help take my career to the next level,” said Eric Ethridge.

In early 2016, Eric Ethridge was selected as one of 6 finalists into the Canadian Country Music Association’s (CCMA) Discovery Program and went on to win the CCMA Discovery Award. The following year, Ethridge teamed up with JUNO Award-Winning producer–songwriter, Brian Howes, (Chris Daughtry, Keith Urban) to produce his self-titled debut EP. The EP’s first single, “Liquor’s Callin’ the Shots”, climbed to Top 30 at Canadian Country Radio creating an incredible first impression as a new artist. His most recent single, “California”, spent time as the Most Streamed Canadian Country Song in Canada. Ethridge was also named the Grand Prize winner in the Unsigned Only competition for his song “Girl on Fire”, selected from over 6,000 applicants from 95 different countries across all genres.

Lennon Stella Announces First North American Headline Tour

Canadian pop artist Lennon Stella has announced her first headline tour across North America this spring. The 13-date run kicks off March 20 and includes shows at Toronto’s Danforth Music Hall, New York’s Irving Plaza, Los Angeles’ The Fonda Theatre, and more. Full itinerary here. Stella first made a splash as one half of country sibling duo Lennon & Maisy, regularly featured on hit TV series Nashville. Last month Lennon Stella released her debut EP Love, me via Records LLC/ Columbia Records. It debuted in the top 5 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Album chart in the US.

Northern Ontario Music and Film Awards Now Accepting Submissions

The Northern Ontario Music and Film Awards (NOMFA) is now accepting submissions of film, TV, and music projects that have been released commercially between Jan. 1, 2017 and Dec. 31, 2018. The deadline is Jan. 11, and NOMFA will be held in Sudbury, ON from May 23 – May 25. Music submissions here

CIMA’S Road Gold Certification

Have you been on tour? You may be eligible for Road Gold certification.

CIMA’s Road Gold certification is an acknowledgment of the dedication and drive artists must have to achieve success, broaden their fan base and express their artistry through strong public performances.

Who is eligible?

Canadian artists who have sold 25k or more tickets in Canada over any 12 month period on the road.Why

When can I apply?

Anytime. You can apply for Road Gold Certification for tickets sold within a 12-month period whenever you hit that milestone. Eligible ticket sales can date as far back as January 1st, 2014.
