Since the inception of the Country Music Association of Ontario, it has been a dream of the organization and its membership to stage a provincial awards show where Ontario's talented country artists are celebrated and recognized for their achievements by their peers and the community.

On May 27th, 2013, with the generous assistance of Slaight Music, the CMAO made this dream a reality for the first time when they held their debut awards show at the Markham Theatre, in Markham, Ontario. The sold out event was hosted by Charlie Major and featured performances from Ontario’s hottest talent including Michelle Wright, Small Town Pistols, Deric Ruttan, Jason Blaine and many more.

For the past four years, the Awards have enjoyed tremendous success and on June 11th, 2017, Centennial Hall, London will play host to the annual CMAO Awards presented by Slaight Music and sponsored by the Ontario Music Fund. With increasing awareness and even more talent in Ontario than ever before, the CMAO team is excited with the plans for the upcoming event this June.
