Since the inception of the Country Music Association of Ontario, it has been a dream of the organization and its membership to stage a provincial awards show where Ontario's talented country artists are celebrated and recognized for their achievements by their peers and the community.


On May 27th, 2013, with the generous assistance of Slaight Music, CMAOntario made this dream a reality for the first time when they held their debut awards show at the Markham Theatre, in Markham, Ontario. The sold out event was hosted by Charlie Major and featured performances from Ontario’s hottest talent including Michelle Wright, Small Town Pistols, Deric Ruttan, Jason Blaine and many more.


For the past ten years, the Awards have enjoyed tremendous success and on June 4, 2023, Theatre Aquarius in Hamilton will play host to the 11th annual CMAOntario Awards presented by Slaight Music. With increasing awareness and even more talent in Ontario than ever before, the CMAOntario team is excited with the plans for the upcoming event this June.
