LINDI ORTEGA IS FIRST RELEASE FOR NEW U.S. LABEL
STEVEN LEE OLSEN LIKES BLUE
Nominated for Fan’s Choice and Single of the Year at September’s CCMA Awards, Steven Lee Olsen has released his version of the #1 hit track he penned for Keith Urban, “Blue Ain’t Your Color”. The track marks the second release off The Shop Sessions, a collection of Olsen’s biggest songwriting hits, recorded where his career first began – Sterling Tire. The Shop Sessions includes acoustic versions of five of Olsen’s most successful songwriting hits to date, with videos.

NATE HALLER RELEASES “RACE TO THE BOTTOM”
Award-winning artist Nate Haller is back, dropping his second new track this summer with “Race To The Bottom.” Written by Griffen Palmer (Florida Georgia Line, Keith Urban), Geoff Warburton (Shawn Mendes, Jake Owen) and Daniel Ross (Morgan Wallen, Nate Smith) the new single was perfectly timed amidst a packed summer of shows for Nate, including a performance at the 2024 CCMA Songwriters Unplugged Series during Country Music Week this September.

MIKE TRUDELL IS BAAAACK!
Mike Trudell, a Northern Ontario native born in Elliott Lake, emerged onto the country music scene in 2014 with 2 albums, releasing three singles. First and foremost a father, Mike took a hiatus to prioritize family and spend quality time with his daughter. He’s now returning with new tracks produced by Gil Grand, including the radio release, “You Can Hear a Heartbreak”, available on streaming platforms, with a video on YouTube.

JACKLYN WILLS IS “UP”
From Chatham-Kent, Ontario, Jacklyn Wills has dropped “Up”, written in Nashville with fellow Ontario native, Drew Taylor, along with Georgia boys Lee Tucker and Tanner Fussell. Produced by CMAOntario-nominated producer Adam Newcomb, “Up” takes a nostalgic approach, reminiscing about being 16 in a small town with nothing better to do than drive around and get into trouble. The release follows a bucketload of summer gigs around Ontario and was preceded by her February release, “Hate That I Can’t Hate You”.

AMANDA KEELES RELEASES LATEST SINGLE “HIS PERCEPTION”
London, Ontario artist Amanda Keeles has released her fifth single, “His Perception”, from her debut album titled “Can’t Stop Me Now”. Keeles wrote all the songs on the album and recorded the project at MCC Studios in Calgary with producer Johnny Gasparic. Amanda is touring tour with her band across Ontario this fall, with stops at the TD Music Hall in Toronto, Chrysler Theatre in Windsor and Oshawa’s Biltmore Theatre. In June, Keeles and videographer Jake Sauve from CMAOntario-Awarded Roadhouse Productions picked up “Music Video of the Year” at the Forest City London Music Awards.

JAMES DOWNHAM AND AMANDA KIND RELEASE “ANOTHER ROUND”
Ontario country artists James Downham and Amanda Kind explore an irresistible, can’t-get-enough kind of love in their high-energy new track, “Another Round.” Now streaming everywhere, “Another Round” is the anthem for those wild nights where fun comes first and the consequences come later. Released on July 5, the song is already making waves.

HAYLEY VERRALL RELEASES “PEACH ICED TEA”
Burlington, Ontario pop country artist Hayley Verrall is excited to announce the release of her new single, “Peach Iced Tea,” available as of July 26 on all major streaming platforms. Reflecting on the song’s creation, Hayley shares, “I’ve held onto the title ‘Peach Iced Tea’ for what feels like forever, believing in its potential and knowing it had a story to tell. Countless times, I brought this idea to co-writing sessions, but it never quite clicked—until now. This song is a testament to the power of patience, passion, and the right timing.”

THE REDHILL VALLEY’S RELEASE DIGITAL SINGLE “MAKE IT OUT ALIVE”
The Redhill Valleys, nominated for a 2024 CMAOntario Award for Music Video of the Year, released their digital single “Make It Out Alive” and the accompanying lyric video on July 5th. The band recently announced a show for October 13th at Oktoberfest Goes Country in Kitchener. Their Long Way Back Tour across Canada included stops at Coca Cola Stage at the Calgary Stampede and Black Pirates Pub in Thunder Bay, ON. Check out their socials for more information.

TIM HICKS “I MISS TOM PETTY”
Tim Hicks has already crossed Canada on tour, riding the wave of his latest single, “One More”, which has garnered upward of half a million streams and video views and is currently climbing the Canadian Country Radio charts. Tim’s follow-up fan track, “I Miss Tom Petty”, is also making some noise. Take a walk down the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the music video and watch as Tim reflects on one of his favourite artists, Tom Petty. Tim continues his summer tour later in August into September with visits across the pond to London, UK, Germany, and Australia.

DAYNA REID “SHE’S ME”
Nominated for Breakthrough Artist of the Year at this year’s CMAOntario Awards, Dayna Reid is having a summer of debuts, including Cavendish Beach Music Festival and Calgary Stampede. Her third release of the year, “Still Believe In Love”, hit DSPs on July 19, 2024,.
After making her debut at Boots and Hearts Music Festival on the Sirius XM Front Porch Stage, Dayna Reid has announced a headline show in her hometown of Springwater this September. The performance will happen just one week out from her debut album, “She’s Me”, dropping September 20th. The album will feature a collection of songs from the past two years including the title track “She’s Me” (Canadian Country Radio debut peaking at #32) along with new material. Rumours suggest more to come…

THE REKLAWS “PEOPLE DON’T TALK ABOUT”
Multi-DOUBLE PLATINUM duo and multiple CCMA and CMAOntario Awards Nominees The Reklaws released their new single “One Beer Away” in June. Recently performing back-to-back nights at the Jackson Triggs Amphitheatre and Kee to Bala, they will be lighting up festival stages across Canada, including Big Valley Jamboree, Sunfest Country Music Festival, Country Thunder Alberta, Lucknow’s Music in the Fields; as well as performing at this year’s 2024 CCMA Awards in Edmonton.

JADE EAGLESON RELEASES NEW SINGLE “DO IT ANYWAY”
6x 2024 CCMA Award nominee Jade Eagleson followed-up his fourth #1 at country radio earlier this summer with the release of his new single “Do It Anyway”, featuring Texas native, Jake Worthington. On the heels of signing with powerhouse agency CAA, he continues to develop international markets with shows in the U.S. and Europe this year. Eagleson was also be making his Grand Ole Opry debut on October 18, 2024. Eagleson will hit multiple festivals across Canada, including a performance at the 2024 CCMA Awards and shows with award-winning, international artist Cody Johnson this fall.

THE WESTERN SWING AUTHORITY NOMINATED FOR ALTERNATIVE COUNTRY ALBUM OF THE YEAR.
The Western Swing Authority are proud to announce that their latest album “12 to 6 Central” has been nominated for the Alternative Country Album of the Year at this year’s Canadian Country Music Association awards. Released in Feb of this year, and produced by Colin Linden, this new album has enjoyed excellent reviews around the globe. Founding member of the WSA, Shane Guse, has also been nominated in the musician category for Specialty Instrument Player of the Year. This is following his recent CMA Ontario win of the inaugural Musician of the Year Award.

LINDI ORTEGA SORT SON PREMIER ALBUM SUR UN NOUVEAU LABEL AMÉRICAIN
Il y a quelques mois, l’auteure-compositrice-interprète Lindi Ortega, originaire de l’Ontario, a lancé, après une longue interruption, quelques reprises de Tom Waits en duo avec Jack Barksdale, un jeune artiste américain en pleine ascension. CMAOntario a appris que Lindi Ortega a signé avec l’étiquette indépendante américaine Truly Handmade Records, créée par Guy Clark LLC, la succession du légendaire compositeur country/folk Clark. Elle a l’honneur de sortir le tout premier album du label, From The Ether, qui sortira le mois prochain. Installée en Colombie-Britannique après un séjour à Nashville, Mme Ortega a enregistré l’album à Austin avec le musicien et producteur de renom Mike Meadows. La sortie de l’album est prévue pour octobre sur Truly Handmade.

STEVEN LEE OLSEN AIME LE BLEU
Nommé pour le choix des fans et le single de l’année aux CCMA Awards de septembre, Steven Lee Olsen a sorti sa version du hit n°1 qu’il a écrit pour Keith Urban, « Blue Ain’t Your Color ». Ce titre est le deuxième extrait de The Shop Sessions, une collection des plus grands succès de Steven Lee Olsen, enregistrés là où sa carrière a débuté : Sterling Tire. The Shop Sessions comprend des versions acoustiques de cinq des plus grands succès d’Olsen à ce jour, accompagnées de vidéos.

NATE HALLER PUBLIE “RACE TO THE BOTTOM” (LA COURSE VERS LE FOND)
L’artiste primé Nate Haller est de retour avec son deuxième nouveau titre de l’été, « Race To The Bottom ». Écrit par Griffen Palmer (Florida Georgia Line, Keith Urban), Geoff Warburton (Shawn Mendes, Jake Owen) et Daniel Ross (Morgan Wallen, Nate Smith), ce nouveau titre arrive à point nommé au milieu d’un été riche en spectacles pour Nate, dont une prestation à la 2024 CCMA Songwriters Unplugged Series pendant la Country Music Week en septembre.

JACKLYN WILLS EST “EN HAUT”
Originaire de Chatham-Kent, en Ontario, Jacklyn Wills a lancé « Up », écrit à Nashville avec son compatriote ontarien Drew Taylor, ainsi qu’avec Lee Tucker et Tanner Fussell, tous deux originaires de Géorgie. Produite par Adam Newcomb, nominé aux CMAOntarios, « Up » adopte une approche nostalgique, rappelant l’âge de 16 ans dans une petite ville où il n’y a rien de mieux à faire que de rouler en voiture et de s’attirer des ennuis. La sortie de cet album fait suite à une série de concerts estivaux en Ontario et a été précédée par son album de février, « Hate That I Can’t Hate You ».

En réfléchissant à la création de la chanson, Hayley partage : « J’ai gardé le titre “ Peach Iced Tea ” pendant ce qui me semble être une éternité, croyant en son potentiel et sachant qu’il avait une histoire à raconter. D’innombrables fois, j’ai apporté cette idée à des sessions de co-écriture, mais elle n’a jamais vraiment fait tilt – jusqu’à aujourd’hui. Cette chanson témoigne du pouvoir de la patience, de la passion et du bon moment.

TIM HICKS “TOM PETTY ME MANQUE”
Tim Hicks a déjà traversé le Canada en tournée, surfant sur la vague de son dernier single, « One More », qui a récolté plus d’un demi-million de streams et de visionnages de vidéos et qui grimpe actuellement dans le palmarès des radios country canadiennes. Le titre suivant de Tim, « I Miss Tom Petty », fait également parler de lui. Dans le vidéoclip, Tim se promène sur le Hollywood Walk of Fame et évoque l’un de ses artistes préférés, Tom Petty. Tim poursuit sa tournée d’été plus tard en août et en septembre avec des visites à Londres, au Royaume-Uni, en Allemagne et en Australie.

DAYNA REID “ELLE EST MOI”

THE REKLAWS “DONT LES GENS NE PARLENT PAS”
Le duo multi-DOUBLE PLATINUM et les multiples nominations aux prix de l’ACMC et de l’AMC-Ontario, The Reklaws, ont lancé leur nouveau single « One Beer Away » en juin. Ayant récemment donné des spectacles consécutifs à l’amphithéâtre Jackson Triggs et à Kee to Bala, ils enflammeront les scènes des festivals partout au Canada, notamment Big Valley Jamboree, Sunfest Country Music Festival, Country Thunder Alberta, Lucknow’s Music in the Fields, en plus de se produire à Edmonton lors de la remise des prix de l’ACMC de 2024.

JADE EAGLESON SORT UN NOUVEAU SINGLE “DO IT ANYWAY” (LE FAIRE DE TOUTE FAÇON)
Jade Eagleson, qui a été nommé 6 fois aux CCMA Awards 2024, a enchaîné avec son quatrième numéro 1 à la radio country plus tôt cet été avec la sortie de son nouveau single « Do It Anyway », avec Jake Worthington, originaire du Texas. Après avoir signé avec la puissante agence CAA, il continue de développer les marchés internationaux avec des spectacles aux États-Unis et en Europe cette année. Eagleson fera également ses débuts au Grand Ole Opry le 18 octobre 2024. Eagleson participera à de nombreux festivals à travers le Canada, y compris une performance aux CCMA Awards 2024 et des spectacles avec l’artiste international primé Cody Johnson cet automne.

THE WESTERN SWING AUTHORITY NOMINÉ POUR L’ALBUM COUNTRY ALTERNATIF DE L’ANNÉE.
Les Western Swing Authority sont fiers d’annoncer que leur dernier album, « 12 to 6 Central », a été nominé pour le prix de l’album country alternatif de l’année lors de la remise des prix de la Canadian Country Music Association. Sorti en février dernier et produit par Colin Linden, ce nouvel album a reçu d’excellentes critiques dans le monde entier. Shane Guse, membre fondateur de la WSA, a également été nommé dans la catégorie des musiciens pour le titre de « Specialty Instrument Player of the Year » (joueur d’instrument spécialisé de l’année). Cette nomination fait suite à sa récente victoire au CMA Ontario pour le premier prix de musicien de l’année.
