Amanda Kind

Both energetic and emotional, Amanda Kind’s distinctly soulful brand of country showcases her powerhouse vocals, down-to-earth personality, and fierce but fun stage presence – think Janis Joplin meets Patsy Cline. One minute she’s got the crowd dancing and singing along to an upbeat rock anthem, and the next she’s got them recalling their own heartbreak with a stirring ballad.

Growing up, Amanda’s biggest musical inspirations came from a wide variety of artists from Dolly Parton and Shania Twain, to Alanis Morrisette, Green Day, Mariah Carey, and more. Her most recent release “Slow Dance” is currently spinning across Canada on the country airwaves and peaked at #7 on SiriusXM’s Top of the Country chart. Other recent releases include “Love Used To Live Here,” and the popular duet “We’re Okay” with fellow country artist James Downham.

“Slow Dance” is the second song from her upcoming debut EP “The Good Fight,” which will be released in September 2023. Her next song is a rockin’ girl-power tune called “Rebel Spirit” in honour of International Women’s Day, which comes out March 8.

Over the last few years, Amanda has been writing, recording, and performing full-time as an artist appearing at music festivals like Bestival, the City of Kitchener’s Neighbours Day Kick Off, as well as gigging across the province at various venues. She’s also been a regular at The Moonshine Café songwriter rounds with In The Country with Dave Woods and Nicole Rayy’s All Woman Music Series.

Amanda is an avid singer and songwriter who has released music in a variety of styles. Check out her music on all major streaming platforms.

Outside of performing, Amanda is also a commercial music vocal coach working with a broad range of clients including professional singers, indie artists, and aspiring young performers in many genres.

Her work in the arts community has garnered her a Waterloo Region Arts Award, the Rogers Television Woman of the Year Award, and recognition as one of the region’s Top 40 Under 40.
