JAMES BARKER BAND LEAD WITH THEIR HEARTS ON NEW SINGLE “HEY HONEY”
Multi-JUNO and CCMA Award-winning Le groupe James Barker return with “Hey Honey,” their latest single, available today via Universal Music Canada. Produced by Todd Clark (Noah Kahan, Lewis Capaldi, Phillip Phillips) and co-written by Lowell (Beyoncé, Tate McRae, Backstreet Boys), the track finds the band continuing to explore a more candid and emotionally direct side of their sound.
Building on the direction introduced with their previous release, “After Dark,” “Hey Honey” blends the band’s unmistakable country roots with a rawer, more unfiltered approach to songwriting.
At its heart, “Hey Honey” is about making it through life’s rougher moments together. Through vivid images of whiskey, fire, smoke and the aftermath of a long night, the song captures the frustration and uncertainty that can come with difficult times, while holding onto the hope that tomorrow offers another chance to start again.
