Artiste du mois : Alexa Goldie
In a genre rooted in storytelling and soul, few voices carry the authenticity and command attention like Alexa Goldie. Born and raised in Kingston, Ontario, Alexa brings a fresh, fearless energy to country music—a genre she’s redefining one heartfelt lyric at a time. Now splitting her time between Ontario and the vibrant heart of country music in Nashville, Alexa is an emerging artist with big dreams and a whole lot of talent.
Alexa’s journey thus far has been a rather unique one. At 12 years old, she was scouted at a talent competition in the GTA. She went to Los Angeles to record and ended up staying there for a few years to learn more about songwriting. In 2023, she received the Oshawa Music Association Award for Artist and Record of the Year. 2024 was also a big year for Alexa. She was a 2024 and 2025 CMAOntario Breakthrough Artist of the Year nominee. Additionally, she was a Top 8 Semi-Finalist for the SiriusXM Top of the Country competition and a Boots and Hearts Emerging Artist finalist. Speaking of Boots and Hearts, her performance there was particularly memorable, as she had attended as a fan for the last 7 years and now she was on the other side of the stage!
Alexa’s songs reflect her real-life experiences and emotions that are relatable to various audiences. Despite her friendly demeanour, she particularly enjoys and is known to write the saddest breakup songs. Her independent releases “Set in Stone” and “Bad Boy” have been featured on SiriusXM, CMT, Today in Nashville, RFDtv, and BBC Radio.
This year has been a busy one for Alexa. She was a direct support for Eli Young Band.
Alexa feels her latest release, “Lie” (music video out now!), is her favourite that she’s ever written. It will also be featured on her upcoming EP (which will be her first since 2020!) that is expected to be released this year. Additionally, she’s also hinted that she was involved in some acting projects. Her story is still unfolding, and if the chapters ahead are anything like what she’s already shared, we’re all in for something great.
Come enjoy her upcoming shows!
