Artist of the Month: Reney Ray

The reigning CMAOntario Francophone Artist of the Year, Reney Ray, is a multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter with a style that is as uninhibited as it is sensitive.

The year 2023 is already shaping up to be a very busy one for the Val-Rita-raised singer-songwriter, who has already announced two new albums: a third francophone album to be entitled Dodge Ram Van and a second anglophone album called You Can Call Me Ray. Like all her projects, these albums will be entirely self-produced or co-produced with renowned producers such as Ricky Paquette and John-Anthony Gagnon-Robinette.

Reney is a talent recognized throughout the industry, having written for many artists, including 2Frères, Geneviève Jodoin and for the Festival International de la chanson de Granby. Her last album, À l’ouest du réel, earned her the Songwriter of the Year award at the Canadian Folk Music Awards.
