TIM HICKS WEARS OUT HIS GPS

Tim capped off a busy summer, performing for the Canadian Armed Forces deployed in Latvia as part of Opera on Reassurance this past month, along with a busy festival and fair schedule culminating with Carp Fair in Ottawa. After a string of shows in the UK and Germany, Tim will extend his international touring to Australia this Fall. Once home, Tim’s intimate acoustic-based Campfire Troubadour Tour will continue through November with dates across Northern Ontario. Tim has been hard at work writing and recording new music, which he is very excited about. Stay tuned for more news on that soon.

Artist of the Month: The Western Swing Authority

THE WESTERN SWING AUTHORITY

The Western Swing Authority hit Edmonton for this year’s CCMAs as a nominee for their recent album “12 to 6 Central” in the Alternative Country Album of the Year category.

Band leader Shane Guse took home his third win in the Specialty Instrument of the Year category, which adds to his past five Fiddle Player of the Year awards and induction into the CCMA Musicians Hall of Honour.

MEGHAN PATRICK IS GOLDEN

Meghan Patrick unveils a new era of music with her upcoming album Golden Child, available on October 11th via Riser House Records / The Orchard, on all streaming platforms. The album touches on trauma in her past that Meghan is finally ready to release, discuss, and heal from through her music. It is a testament to her newfound love for herself and the journey, therapy, and self-reflection it took to get to the place she is now. This has allowed Meghan to release the most impactful songs of her career, including her most recent single and  title track, “Golden Child”.

THE GREAT CANADIAN ROAD TRIP RETURNS

Following the success of its inaugural run in 2023/2024, featuring Michelle Wright, Doc Walker, and Jason McCoy, McCoy is thrilled to bring back The Great Canadian Road Trip in 2025. This time, he will be joined by country stars Chad Brownlee and Jason Blaine. The trio will hit the road for a cross-country tour, with the first leg covering Northern Ontario and Western Canada in winter 2025, and the second leg taking them through Southern Ontario and Eastern Canada in fall 2025. Each artist will share personal stories and insights about their songs, accompanied by videos playing behind them – home videos, music videos, and more.

For Olivia Mae Graham (OMG), chasing dreams begins with putting on her boots. Her song “Boots” inspires perseverance, symbolizing the path toward our goals, whether on stage, working hard, dancing in the rain or opening for Terri Clark. Her school tour, a fan favourite, highlights life lessons, kindness, and the grounding influence of her boots. Her YouTube series, The Moments In Between (TMI), offers an authentic look into the highs and lows of her journey.

DAYNA REID: THE ALBUM DROPS

After two years of releasing music (debut release Sept 30, 2022), Dayna has released her debut album, including “The Way You Lie”, “This House”, and the title track single “She’s Me” (Canadian Country Radio debut peaking at #32). To date, the album has over 1,250,000 streams and 725,000 music video views, as well as dozens of editorial playlists and a billboard in Dundas Square with Amazon Music. To celebrate the release, Dayna played a headline show to a fired-up hometown crowd in Springwater.
