Message from Sam Arraj – Chair, Conference & Events Committee (February 2017)
“Progress” is forward or onward movement toward a destination. In 2017, the CMA Ontario continues to progress to provide our members and the Ontario country music community with incredible opportunities to connect, learn, expand and celebrate. The CMAO staff and Board of Directors have been hard at work programming and planning our biggest year ever.
In 2017, the Country Music Association of Ontario will launch CMA Ontario RoundUp – four days of events taking place in London, Ontario, from June 7th to 11th. Here are the programming highlights:
Thursday June 8: The Legacy Show at Purple Hill Country Hall
Friday June 9: Celebrity Softball Game and concert at Labatt Field
Saturday June 10 and Sunday June 11: Road to Independence conference at the Delta London Armouries Hotel
Saturday June 10: New Faces Showcase and Concert
Sunday June 11: Annual General Meeting
Sunday June 11: CMAO Awards Show at Centennial Hall
The highlight of the weekend will be our Awards Show on Sunday, June 11th at the newly renovated Centennial Hall. Don’t miss out on the festivities, fun and friendship. Tickets are on sale now at http://tickets.centennialhall.london.ca
WAIT!! WE HAVE MORE!
We are finally going back to Ottawa! On March 18th, the CMAO Roadshow will be taking place at Algonquin College. We will have seminars during the day, capping it off with an artist showcase in the evening. We are so excited to be back in Ottawa! Come out and meet us and the members of your community.
These events are nothing without our membership, and we are so thankful that we have continued to get support from you – the CMAO members and the country music community. Looking forward to seeing you out there!
