SING OUT FOR CHEO! Fundraising Event
On October 21, 2017, Danny Sylvestre, in partnership with Tim Tierney, Ottawa Councillor, Country 101 our exclusive radio partner and with the help of a fantastic team of devoted volunteers and local sponsors, will join River Town Saints, Danny Sylvestre, John Allaire and Sandi Skye for one night at TD Place in Ottawa www.tdplace.ca, to raise money for the CHEO Foundation. On top of the world-class performances by four (4) incredibly talented local artists. There will be a Silent Auction featuring donated items from area businesses including Beau’s, Les Suites Hotel, Escape Manor, Little Ray’s Reptile Zoo and many more.
Tickets for the event are $45 each (fees included) and will go on sale to the public at 10am on Wednesday, September 6, 2017. With your help, we can make this event a huge success, remember that “A Little Bit Goes A Long Way”!

The Road Hammers are Haulin’ Ass in their Brand New Music Video

ole Becomes Primary Supplier of Production Music to Corus Entertainment
ole, the world’s fastest-growing independent music publishing and rights management company, announced it has reached an agreement with Corus Entertainment to become the preferred provider of production music to all third-party and in-house productions commissioned by Corus Television and Radio. The deal will supply Corus Entertainment with more than 750,000 tracks through the Jingle Punks, 5 Alarm and Cavendish libraries, and provide best in class music solutions for Corus and their affiliates into the future.

Our library is a turn-key solution for that space. We know that combining the PML business with our custom studio capabilities is going to make a major impact in the global kids, women and family content space” says Jingle Punks CCO and President, Jingle Jared.

The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) is calling for submissions for the2018 JUNO Awards. Submissions are open now, and close Friday, November 10. Make your submission at www.junosubmissions.ca
JUNO Week 2018 will be hosted in Vancouver from March 19 through March 25, 2018.

Eligibility for the 2018 JUNO Awards applies to music released for national sale between September 1, 2016 and November 10, 2017. Albums available for pre-order online no later than November 10, 2017 will also qualify. Pre-ordered online albums will need to be available no later than November 24, 2017.
Eligible musicians are Canadian Citizens, which are defined by CARAS to be that where a majority of the group members hold Canadian birth certificates, passports or are Canadian Permanent Resident(s) with residency in Canada during the last six months of the eligibility period.
Ryan Laird will be in Lethbridge for a lunch-time presentation at Wilson Middle School, as well as an 8 p.m. performance at The Slice. His western tour comes on the heels of this year’s Canadian Country Music Awards celebration in Saskatoon.
Based in Ontario, Laird first won attention in 2008 when he put up a billboard request in Nashville, asking Taylor Swift to produce his next album. Since then he’s toured with George Canyon, Alan Jackson, Terri Clark, Sawyer Brown, Emerson Drive and others.
Now he’s on the road with his Twice the Country tour, promoting his current single, “Gamble on Love” and making school presentations on behalf of the “Bigger Than That!” youth empowerment, anti-bullying organization.
Sakamoto Agency Now Has The Exclusive Representation for The Abrams
Recently signed to Warner Music Canada, The Abrams – Jon and James Abrams, brothers in life and music, and an award-winning Canadian country music duo – join several other Warner artists represented by Sakamoto Agency, including The Washboard Union and Aaron Goodvin. The Abrams recently won Roots Artist or Group of the Year at the 2017 Country Music Association of Ontario Awards.
Ontario artist Shae Dupuy, is excited to announce that she has partnered with the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) as an ambassador for their 2018 “Ride Don’t Hide” annual event. “Ride Don’t Hide” will take place nationally, with a purpose of raising awareness and helping break the stigma surrounding mental health, while raising funds to support mental health programs. Shae is incredibly honoured and excited to be an ambassador and support this initiative.
