Attention Artists! More singing contests in Ontario.
Last month we announced the CCMA Jiffy Lube FanFest Contest. Thanks to all who submitted for a chance to win a performance slot at FanFest on September 7th at the 2013 CCMA’s in Edmonton. That contest closed on July 10th and the submissions are now being reviewed . A winner will be announced on July 24th and in next month’s newsletter. But there’s more going on that just that….
First there’s the Hoedown Showdown. Every year Magna International, along with Aurora Ribfest and the City of Aurora, hold the Magna Hoedown and present a great night of country music and some serious fundraising for local charities. But this year, there’s a chance YOU could be part of the entertainment line-up on September 14th.
They’re holding a talent competition with a grand prize of $1000.00 cash, plus a Yamaha guitar worth $1000.00 and a chance to perform in the finals. There’s also $500 and $250 for the 2nd and 3rd place runners-up (respectively). You must have your entry in before 5:00PM on July 31. Preliminary rounds start on August 24th and the finals will be held at Ribfest on September 8th. The lucky winner will perform on September 14 in front of a crowd of 4,000.
