Artist of the Month: Robyn Ottolini

Robyn Ottolini has been writing, playing, and sharing her music for audiences at festivals, songwriters circles, open mics, and more. And she’s just getting started.

With her six-song EP, Classic (released in February 2019), Robyn introduced more of her music to fans across Canada and beyond. She’s seen Him Problem cross the 100,000 stream mark on Spotify and has some amazing merch to go with the song. She filmed a great summer-time music video for Where We’re At with director Tim Deegan. And if we were to make a guess, we’d say there’s a lot more coming from the Uxbridge, Ontario country music singer-songwriter.

With a peer group and support system that includes fellow artists like Leah Daniels, Julien Kelland, Ben Hudson, Kris Barclay, and more, Robyn has been building herself and the system around her as she moves forward. She’s played, written with, performed in music videos with, and been with these artists as each of them has advanced in their young careers, and we bet that community feeling will continue to be a strength.

In the last year, Robyn has performed at the Country Wild Music Festival, the Winding Roads Music Festival, Whitby Beer Fest, Harvest Moon Festival, the Rock ‘N’ Horse Saloon, and a lot more. She’s busy, playing and getting those reps that make every young artist stronger and better and moving forward. And every time we see or hear something new from Robyn Ottolini, that’s what we get.

And let’s not overlook the fact that Robyn Ottolini picked up a 2019 Rising Star Award nomination at the Country Music Association of Ontario Awards. She was the only woman nominated in a strong group that included winner Jade Eagleson and fellow nominees Kris Barclay, Brad James, and Ryan Langdon.

Robyn is an emerging talent on the Ontario country music scene. But if you aren’t seeing her on stage playing her songs, it’s likely because she’s caught the travel bug and is off picking up new experiences on a beach or in the jungle somewhere halfway around the world.

But she always comes home, because there are always new songs to sing. And we should all be looking forward to hearing what Robyn Ottolini has to offer in the future, including a new single this fall that we can’t wait to hear.
