Award-winning Franco-Ontarian country artist Gabrielle Goulet has already been making a name for herself in her young career, and she’s just getting started.
With two albums and two EPs to her name, and more new music on the way, Goulet has caught the ears and attention of fans and critics. 2012’s self-titled EP, 2013’s Papillon, 2016’s Ton garage, and 2017’s Elle sait all do an excellent job of showing off her singing and songwriting. And as further proof of her prowess, she was named the 2015 Best Female Artist award winner at the Prix Trille Or, and won the 2016 SOCAN Song of the Year award for her song, Juste Toi.
Elle sait was also nominated for Country Album of the Year at the 2017 Gala de l’ADISQ, further shining a light on her music and talent.
The studio is not Gabrielle Goulet’s only activity. The Franco country artist has played stages across Ontario and beyond, making new fans in Quebec as well. In 2015, she played the opening ceremonies of the Parapan Am in Toronto, bringing her music to Ontario’s capital and music fans.
Goulet spent time in the studio at the end of 2018 to record a new EP planned for a 2019 release. And while we don’t know what to expect specifically from her new music, we do expect that we’ll get the same talent and excellence.
Mixing elements of country and pop to create a modern sound, Goulet is poised to be a name that more French country music fans know, and that English fans should be keeping an eye on too!
