Reporting live from Africa! … Just kidding, but Adam Cousins certainly was!

From the tight-knit, dirt-road community of Brussels, Ontario, to celebrating his honeymoon surrounded by the breathtaking landscapes of Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, Cousins has had quite the adventure over the past few years. And if there’s one thing that seems to define him, it’s his approach to life: work hard, play hard, and make the most of every opportunity.

That same philosophy carries over into his music career, where he’s steadily carving out a place for himself in Canadian country music.

Since releasing his debut EP, Dirt Road, in 2019, Cousins has remained committed to one important thing: authenticity. He’s not interested in simply putting music out there; he wants it to represent who he is as an artist. From contributing to the songwriting to collaborating throughout the production process, he takes a hands-on approach to every release, ensuring the finished product stays true to his vision.

The result? A sound that blends the soul and storytelling of traditional country with the energy and appeal of today’s modern country music.

And if there’s one place where Cousins’ personality and musical ability really shine, it’s on stage. Known for taking everyday experiences and turning them into something that feels larger than life, he’s a natural performer who knows how to draw an audience in and make them feel part of the experience.

Over the years, he’s brought that energy to some impressive stages across the country, including Sauble Beach Party, The CNE, North of Nowhere Music Festival, Tailgate Music Festival, Hayloft Music Festival, Music in the Fields, Stomp the Bruce and even Cavendish Beach Music Festival in Prince Edward Island. This growing list of performances reflects both his dedication and his ability to connect with country fans wherever the music takes him.

His latest single, Good Old Days, released October 24, is already giving listeners plenty to talk about. With more than 500,000 streams across platforms, the track is clearly striking a chord. Featuring Cousins’ rich, unmistakable vocals and an easygoing, feel-good country sound, it’s the kind of song that feels familiar from the first listen while still showcasing his own artistic identity. Fans of Luke Combs’ distinctive vocal style may find something to love here, too!

But the momentum doesn’t stop with new music. Cousins is in the running for the Great Canadian Country Star Emerging Artist Competition, and he’d love country fans in his corner. If you’ve been enjoying what he’s putting out, now is the perfect time to show your support!
