A southern Ontario girl since she was 6 years old, Shae Dupuy has been singing, writing and performing music for nearly her entire life. And now, the St. Catharines artist is releasing new music from her more current life to the country music world.
Her new EP, Brave (Oct. 28, 2016), comes more than 2 years after the 2014 release of her debut EP, Breakdown, and offers a deeper perspective on Dupuy’s view of the world, understanding of herself, and ability to create the music she wants to make and share.
Shae has taken the influence of modern stars like Shania Twain, Taylor Swift and The Dixie Chicks and used it to craft her own style and sound. And in that sound, and her songs, she has promised herself to follow in some of those footsteps while vowing that she won’t play it safe.
“My goal is to do something a bit risky, because without risk there’s no reward, right?”
And with 2016 CMAO award nominations for Rising Star and Video of the Year, and being named as a CMAO New Faces Showcase Artist, it’s clear that those risks are starting to pay off.
With the release of 5 new tracks (Good For Me, Wishing On You, No Worries, Homewrecker, Liar), plus previous singles Tin Man and Drink About It, Shae Dupuy is announcing her presence to the Canadian Country market and fans. Add her enthusiasm and willingness to embrace opportunity and it becomes clearer that this Ontario artist is ready to push forward into the next phase of what could be an exciting career to watch.
Find Brave now on iTunes and follow Shae Dupuy through her social media channels to stay up to date on what’s coming next!
