Kansas Stone’s Brian Vain and Matt Davey grew up with a major country influence from the likes of Garth Brooks, Randy Travis, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, and more… add the rock & roll edge that came from listening to Bon Jovi and Aerosmith, throw in their own personal touch, and you end up with the music we’re all about to hear a lot more of soon.
Since the day Brian and Matt started working on country music (first as a side project 3 years ago) they have been putting in the work every artist before them has put in to make their mark. And recently that work has started to pay off, with appearances in Hamilton at the Garth Brooks tailgate parties, in studio on radio and TV (check out the video of Kansas Stone on BT Montreal), and during Canadian Music Week 2016 in Toronto the boys will take the stage as part of the Boots & Hearts Hot Shots Showcase at The Phoenix Concert Theatre with Blackjack Billy and fellow Ontario artists, Meghan Patrick, Eric Ethridge, James Barker Band, and Dani Strong.
Kansas Stone brings a mix of catchy Melodies and well crafted original songs to the stage, and it’s clearly appreciated with glowing show reviews, and country music fans anxious for more recorded music from the duo.
And those fans won’t have to wait long!
Kansas Stone will drop their first EP at the end of May this year. Titled, Country 101, the boys are super proud of the recording and can’t wait to share it with their fans and the rest of the country music world. AND that’s not all. Matt and Brian are currently making trips back-and-forth to Calgary to work on their debut full length album at OCL Studios, and it already sounds like it’s going to be great with Matty McKay producing and Brett Kissel’s band working on the tracks.
Big things are coming for Kansas Stone, we can feel it. Get on board now and see it all happen live!
