Ladies, Country music has a new ‘Bad Boy’! He doesn’t just come packed with a sackful of swagger and great songs; he comes with looks so good they’ll make you hurt and dose of something completely new in the current country landscape.
Hailing from Port Elgin, Ontario, Brett picked up a guitar for the first time at 23 years old and everything changed. A highly natural artist and performer, Brett quickly realized he also had a knack for songwriting, allowing him to achieve major licensing success on Canadian and U.S. National television and Film, including the ABC Hit Soap Opera, “One Life to Live.”
If you’ve never seen or heard Brett Kingswell before, start by imagining Jason Aldean with a touch of Creed. Add yourself a dash of Colt Ford, some completely unique characteristics of his own, and you’ve got Brett Kingswell: an artist able and very ready to start dominating the charts. Admittedly, he may not be your every day country star – often referring to the country life of bikes and hunting as opposed to the often heard rhetoric of jean shorts and dirt roads. His lyrics are a smooth marriage of rap, rock and sweet country crooning that leaves you hanging off every word, and only heightens your curiosity about what really makes this so-sweet “bad boy” tick. If you’re a fan of current and progressive country, you’ll love the fence that Brett Kingswell straddles, as he satisfies your every musical desire.
Brett has shared stages and spotlights across the continent with major recording artists like Everclear and I Mother Earth, as well as working closely with members of Alice Cooper, Megadeath, and Fuel. Brett has been working hard in the studio this year with producer Ron Allen, building those heavy hooks and lively lyrics that are sure to solidify Brett’s spot on the scene.
His debut single “From the Country” was released to country radio in the spring of 2013, supported by a summer full of festivals and shows including CiderFest and Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto.
Now’s your chance to jump on this runaway train and never look back, as Brett’s bad boy feel and good time lyrics will make you a new fan in no time.
