Amanda Sadler is a lifelong performer.
From the age of 4 she’s been on stage – singing, dancing, and acting – but now the Kingston songstress has focused her efforts on country music, and she’s getting ready to make her move.
Amanda’s debut EP, “The Light”, is available now and features tracks like “Nice Just Ain’t Your Colour”, and “Someone Like You”, which show both her upbeat and slowed down sides, while offering a sweet voice and a glimpse of what may be coming in the future.
And when we start talking about Amanda Sadler’s country music future, we may be talking about something more recent than you expect. A March trip to Nashville was dedicated to writing new music, and when the writing happens, you know that there’s excitement to get new songs recorded and into ears of fans.
We asked Amanda about the trip and she told us that “Being able to spend a month down in Nashville was a dream come true. I’m so passionate about songwriting along with performing, and being able to dedicate myself to my craft everyday was so fulfilling. I got to write with some amazing songwriters and mentors, and I’m absolutely over the moon to be heading back down to record some of this new music in the next couple months”. She also told us that “Plans are that new music will be headed your way at the end of the summer! I’m incredibly excited about these new songs. They have my heart and soul in them, along with a lot of coffee and some seriously worn out guitar picks.”
Amanda’s summer is getting ready to kick off with a June 11 appearance at the YGK Craft Beer Fest at Fort Henry in Kingston, followed by her first writer’s round with Steve Wilkinson, Kyle Dunn, and other writers on June 24 at Overtime Sports Bar. Amanda will also be playing with her band at Country 93.5’s Country Music in the Park, and we’re sure more dates will be added to the summer plans before it’s over!
With her EP available now, new music coming, and live dates picking up, it certainly seems that Amanda Sadler is ready for her time to shine. Keep your eyes open for her; we’re sure you’ll be seeing a lot more of her soon.
